To sell the goods and services of PTCAlliance by communicating directly with the customer and responding to inquiries, status checks and all customer related requirements in a timely manner occurring in a fast-paced environment. Reporting as to levels of customer engagement of Outside Sales in winning business.

The individual in this position has responsibility for all pricing related activities including, recommending, and implementing policy and pricing changes based on market conditions and policy as directed by the General Sales Manager of the DOM Division. This includes all value-added capabilities.

Monitor and advise the Customer Service Team of changes or corrections required from the inside sales organization related to quoting, booking and invoicing customers accurately.

Monitor personnel to evaluate order-taking performance and to assist in responding to customer inquiries and complaints as they relate to pricing.

Consult with sales, technical, or plant personnel as necessary to ensure appropriate responses to customer inquiries.

Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of our pricing policies as they relate to the divisions overall objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage all vacations & call-offs for the assigned employees.
Responsible for enforcing PTCA employee policies.
Responsible for enforcing PTCA sales policies.
Responsible for Continuous Improvement activities in the group.
Responsible for promoting the Values of PTCA.
Manage quoting of tubing inquiries, feasibility requirements, value-add prints, product development, contract packages and initiate follow-up calls on pertinent inquiries.
Build and monitor new account/product through initial phases and transition account to suitable Customer Service Representative. Manage Business Case Log, Margin Data Mart, and Quote System Reporting.
Make outbound calls to current customers to promote and sell one-stop shopping and promote our other product lines.
Sell and service new and existing customers. Responsible for maintaining contract accounts and keeping accurate records of contract pricing and accounts activities. Maintain status and activity reports. Contracts have a start and end date to be reviewed before renewals. CRU contracts are at least 12 months, and the customer(s) are living up to the terms of the agreement as evidenced in reporting.
Freight terms and conditions are clear and met on monitored. Any changes are done here and accountability is owned and shared with outside sales.
Communicate with Sales Management and Outside Sales pertaining to feedback on market information, competitive pricing, delivery performance, and any other relevant information.
Responsible for all aspects of customer information in computer system(s): Order Margins Data Mart, Oracle Quote System, Tons and Dollars, Freight Analysis reporting.
Provide technical assistance to customer requirements and offer solutions based on customer input and mill capability and support.
Responsible for expediting critical sales orders by communicating with specified mill contacts. Offer overage/shortage requests to customers.
Continually improve yourself with new systems data management, training and project involvement.
Perform job duties in a courteous and business-like manner with both internal and external customers.
Maintain a clean and organized work area. Keep records and files organized and up-to-date. Manage Performance Board in respect to Quoting Activity by Sales Person(s), Margin, and win rates.
Perform other job-related duties as required by Sales management.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or related field; plus 3 to 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience. Metallurgy background helpful.

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate and work well with people, both internally and externally is essential. Must possess the ability to solve problems independently when necessary. Communicate all reporting in respect to quoting, the performance of agreements, and margin analysis.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to accurately evaluate customer contracts and pricing schedules to maintain the approved profitability of the aggregate and individual items. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
Computer Skills: Must be computer literate and possess a good working knowledge of all quoting systems including Oracle, Order Margins Data Mart, Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel. Must be able to learn and use various company software.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to follow management quoting guidelines and parameters. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess a valid drivers license for business travel.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Normal office conditions. Occasionally enters manufacturing area of the plant where the noise level is loud, and eye and ear protection must be worn.
